News & EventsLaw Professors Alleva and Lockney to Present At Theatre Arts Panel Discussion Law Professors Patti Alleva and Tom Lockney will make presentations as part of a panel discussion in celebration of the life and works of Norwegian playwright Henrik Ibsen (1828-1906) on November 16, 2006 beginning at 4:00 p.m. in the Burtness Laboratory Theatre. Professor Alleva's presentation is titled "From a Doll's House to a Lawyer's Office: How Ibsen Can Assist Fledgling Lawyers." She recently designed a new law and literature course to help law students see the law from more interpersonal and humanistic perspectives. It is in that context that she will make her presentation and demonstrate how discussing Ibsen in law school might assist fledging lawyers in sharpening their abilities to make professional judgments for clients. Professor Lockney will discuss criminal law issues in Ibsen's A Doll's House. |
