Tim Beaton, Class of 1974, Hired by F-M Area Foundation

F-M Area Foundation hires executive director
Tim Beaton has been hired as the Fargo-Moorhead Area Foundation’s executive director.

He received a bachelor’s degree in history and political science from North Dakota State University and graduated from the University of North Dakota School of Law in Grand Forks.

Beaton began his banking career in the trust department of First Bank of North Dakota in 1975 and continued to advance in trust management through 1995.

Beaton left his position as senior vice president and trust group manager at Community First National Bank, Fargo, and in 1996 he and his wife, Joan, purchased the Northport True Value Hardware, which they operated as Tooltime Paint, Hardware and Rental.
