Attorney Alicia L. Cope. Submitted photo. VIRGINIA – Alicia L. Cope was named a 2012 Minnesota Rising Star. Cope has been an attorney with Cope & Peterson, Ltd. since 1998. She practices in the areas of real estate, probate, estate planning and elder law.
Cope graduated magna cum laude from the University of Minnesota Duluth in 1995, and the University of North Dakota School of Law in 1998. She returned to Virginia to practice law with her father, John F. Cope, and two uncles, James R. Cope and H. Jeffrey Peterson. In 2006, Cope was certified as a Real Property Law Specialist by the MSBA.
Cope is the mother of four, a frequent guest speaker on the topics of estate planning and elder law, involved in numerous community organizations, a member of the MSBA, past president of the Range Bar Association, and is currently a member of the Minnesota Real Property Council.
