Welte Named to State Association
Peter Welte, Grand Forks County state's attorney, was chosen by the North Dakota State's Attorneys Association to represent the group on the North Dakota Association of Counties. He replaces Richard Riha of Burleigh County.
The association of counties also elected new leadership for its board of directors at its annual conference earlier this week in Bismarck.
McKenzie County Commissioner Roger Chinn was elected president; Cavalier County Recorder Vicki Kubat first vice president; Bottineau County Commissioner Verdean Kveum second vice president; and Richland County Highway Engineer Tim Schulte third vice president.
