Denitsa Mavroca Heinrich
Lawyering Skills Faculty Fellow
Denitsa Mavrova Heinrich is the 2012-2013 Lawyering Skills Faculty Fellow at the University of North Dakota School of Law. Professor Mavrova Heinrich received a Bachelors of Arts in Political Science and English Literature, cum laude, from Concordia College, Moorhead, MN. She received her legal education at the University of North Dakota School of Law, where she graduated at the top of her class and was inducted to the Order of the Coif and Order of Barristers. While at law school, Professor Mavrova Heinrich served on the North Dakota Law Review Editorial Board, won the "Outstanding Student Case Comment" award for her publication on international treaty obligations, and served as a teaching assistant in both the Lawyering Skills and Academic Success programs.
After graduation, Professor Mavrova Heinrich clerked for North Dakota Supreme Court Justice Mary Muehlen Maring, and then spent a year clerking for the Honorable Kermit E. Bye of the Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals. During that time, she also served as an adjunct faculty member in Concordia College's mock trial program. Prior to her legal career, Professor Mavrova Heinrich served as the International Exchange Programs Coordinator for Concordia Language Villages—one of the premiere language and cultural immersion programs in the United States.
Professor Mavrova Heinrich teaches Lawyering Skills I and II, Trial Advocacy, and Advanced Trial Advocacy.
