Celebrate UND Homecoming 2017 at the Law School
All UND School of Law alumni and friends are invited to participate in the University of North Dakota’s Homecoming celebration on October 6 and 7, 2017.
We welcome all of our alumni back to the School of Law and have arranged a full schedule of activities for those returning to campus. It’s the perfect time to reconnect with old friends, former classmates, favorite professors and the University. If you have not had a chance yet to return and see the new addition and renovation completed in Fall 2015, it is definitely worth the trip. Below is a schedule and description of the planned events. FREE PARKING: Parking spots have been secured for individuals attending the UND Law Homecoming events on Friday and Saturday, Parking will be provided in the lot to the east of the Nursing Building and north of the Archives Coffee Shop at no charge. (See Map) Signage on University Avenue will help direct vehicles to the designated lot.
PAID PARKING: Public parking is available in the parking ramp located on the corner of Columbia Road and 2nd Street, next to the Memorial Union for a minimal fee. As you enter the ramp, proceed to park on level 4 or 5. As you exit your vehicle make note of your license plate, go to the 4th floor lobby and locate the pay station to prepay your parking fee. At the station you will enter your license plate number and the number of hours you plan to be parked in the ramp. After you have entered that information, it will prompt you to pay using cash or credit card. Select the appropriate option and finalize the transaction. Cost is $1.50 per hour with a maximum charge of $7. The ramp is monitored through camera scans of license plates. By prepaying, your license plate will be registered in the system to avoid any issues.

Friday, October 6
The annual Homecoming CLE will kick off the Homecoming 2017 festivities at the law school. The program will begin at 11:30 a.m. and will run until 4:00 p.m. The registration fee will be $50 and it will include lunch. The CLE has been approved for 3 ND credits, which includes 1.0 Ethics credits. We have also applied for 3 hours of MN CLE which includes 1.0 Ethics credit and 1.0 Elimination of Bias credit . Immediately following the CLE program beginning at 5:00 p.m., we welcome everyone to the Central Commons for an Alumni and Friends Social. Enjoy complimentary hors d’oeuvres as we recognize our Order of the COIF, Order of the Barristers, Bar Foundation Scholarship recipients and the top graduate from the Class of 2017.
At 7:30 p.m. the Class of 1967 will gather for a special 50-year reunion dinner in their honor. Many stories will be shared among former classmates, and we will present the attendees a special pin to signify membership in the Golden Quill.
Saturday, October 7
Throw on your favorite UND clothing, grab the family and come to the law school Saturday morning to watch the UND Homecoming parade from the University Avenue entrance to the school. We will provide the coffee and hot chocolate to keep you warm as you enjoy the parade. After the parade come into the law school to enjoy a special Alumni Brunch and take a look around the new and renovated law school. If you have not seen it, the tour will make your trip complete.
At 7:00 p.m. the Class of 1987 will gather at The Blue Moose Bar & Grill for a reunion dinner.
