The UND-BLSA assists the admissions office by calling prospective students, arranging tours and answering questions concerning the social, personal and academic life at UND-Law School. Dear Prospective UND BLSA Students,

The UND Black Law Students Association (UND-BLSA) was founded in 2009.

UND BLSA seeks to ensure that students of color merge successfully into the social, academic, and cultural life at UND and in the greater communities of North Dakota and Minnesota . BLSA encourages close social and professional relationships among students and provides a supportive and stimulating intellectual environment. We sponsor a variety of seminars on academic achievement, career development, and political awareness. Our events and programs are varied in nature, including easing the 1L (first-year) transition, reaching out to the community, and interacting with other law schools.

We encourage you to us as a resource in your exciting journey applying to law schools.

 

Admitted Students of Color

1L Orientation - This is an annual event organized to welcome incoming students and foster an atmosphere of support, cooperation, and kinship from which they would be able to draw throughout their years at this institution. Alumni and several of the professors attend – providing guidance and answering questions from students.

Students of Color Faculty Reception - In an effort to connect the faculty of UND Law School with current students of color, UND-BLSA will sponsor a special reception in the fall semester. This formal gathering as an ideal opportunity to discuss issues regarding the law and the law school experience.
