Statement on Conditional Scholarships

Through the generosity of alumni and friends of the School of Law, students have the opportunity to be considered for various scholarships each year.

Beginning in Fall 2020, the School of Law (for the first time) awarded to incoming students “conditional scholarships,” or scholarships for which a student must maintain a minimum grade point average (other than the grade point average required to remain in good academic standing) or a specific class rank / class standing in order to retain the scholarship. ABA Standard 509(b)(3) requires all schools offering conditional scholarships to post the number of students entering with conditional scholarships each academic year and the number of students for whom the conditional scholarship was reduced or eliminated.

Two (2) students entered the School of Law in Fall 2020 with conditional scholarships. After the Spring 2021 semester, we will be able to determine the number of conditional scholarships reduced or eliminated, and this information will be published in our Standard 509 report by December 15, 2021.
