    North Dakota Supreme Court Chief Justice Gerald VandeWalle and UND’s Lloyd & Ruth Friedman Professor of Law James Grijalva will serve as co-chairs of the search committee to fill the permanent deanship at the UND School of Law.

    Dean Kathryn Rand delivered her tenth and final “state of the law school” address at the State Bar Association’s Annual Meeting in Bismarck on June 14. She emphasized her appreciation for the continuous support of the North Dakota bench and bar.

    Surrogate Judge M. Richard Geiger was honored with the Distinguished Service Award and retired NDSC Justice Dale Sandstrom was presented the Gerald W. VandeWalle Medal at the SBAND Annual Meeting.
