Alumni Working as North Dakota Supreme Court Clerks
Five members of the UND School of Law Class of 2019 were selected as clerks for the North Dakota Supreme Court for 2019-20 year. The five alumni began their one-year clerkship with the North Dakota Supreme Court on August 1, 2019. The new clerks include:
Katie Carpenter of Moffit, North Dakota, received a B.A. in History, Political Science, and Spanish from the University of Jamestown. Carpenter received her J.D. from the University of North Dakota School of Law in May 2019. She is the daughter of David and Vicki Carpenter of Moffit.
Cassandra Frederickson of Winnipeg, Manitoba Canada, received a B.A. in Human Rights and Global Studies from the University of Winnipeg. Frederickson received her J.D. from the University of North Dakota School of Law in May 2019. She is the daughter of Ron and Tammy Frederickson of Winnipeg, Manitoba Canada.
Alexander Hunt of Grand Forks, North Dakota, received a B.S. in Finance and Entrepreneurship from the University of Minnesota. Hunt received his J.D. from the University of North Dakota School of Law in May 2019. He is the son of Jeff and Mary Hunt of Devils Lake.
Nicholas Samuelson of Fargo, North Dakota, received a B.S. in Political Science from the North Dakota State University. Samuelson received his J.D. from the University of North Dakota School of Law in May 2019. He is the son of Paul and Lynette Samuelson of Fargo.
Nick Surma of Grand Forks, North Dakota, received a B.A. in Economics and Political Science from the University of North Dakota. Surma received his J.D. from the University of North Dakota School of Law in May 2019. He is the son of Don and Carla Surma of Rice, Minnesota.
