Email #3: April 22, 2022
Hi, all –
So … you may have noticed the information about the Class of 2025 FB page is incomplete – I didn’t tell you where you can find the page ☹
That’s because the group hasn’t been set up yet (I intended to remove that chunk from the email before I hit “send”; that obviously didn’t happen). Not every incoming class has a FB page; if there is a page, it’s created by one of the incoming students each year, then someone from the Office of Student Life gets added to the group as an admin to make sure only incoming students are included in the page.
If one of you is interested in creating a page like this, please let us know … but please know that it’s perfectly fine if this class doesn’t have a FB page. We’ll continue to send information on a weekly basis throughout the summer, and you’re always welcome (and encouraged) to reach out to us with any questions or concerns.
Take care, and have a great weekend!
Brad

Subject: UND School of Law - Class of 2025 Weekly Email #3
Hello, UND School of Law Class of 2025 – Happy Friday!
Hopefully, those who needed to claim their accounts were able to do so. Just a reminder that you will need to use your NDUS.Identifier and password while in law school to register, access financial aid information, etc., so please keep it in a safe and secure spot.
Here are some other thinks to think about:
- UND Email - Once you have your NDUS.Identifier, you will be able to set up your UND email - click
HERE.
- Starting August 14th (Orientation Week), your UND email will be your primary email address for school communications. If you would prefer these weekly emails to go to your UND email, please let me know and I can update our records.
- When you log into the email system, you will log in with your NDUS.Identifier@ndus.edu However, your email address is your NDUS.Identifier@und.edu
- 1L Curriculum - First year law classes are required of all incoming students. A list of the classes
by semester, along with their descriptions, have been attached in a pdf.
- Draft Fall 2022 and Spring 2023 course and final exam schedules have been attached. Please note that these schedules could change without prior notice.
- All 1L classes/exams are highlighted in yellow.
- With the exception of Lawyering Skills 1 & 2, all classes have one section so all incoming 1L’s will be in class together. Lawyering Skills has five sections and students will be assigned to a section number – when we provide registration information this summer, your section number will be shared with you.
- The law school calendar is included on the exam schedules showing start days, no class dates, etc.
- “1L Make Up Class” – We ask students to protect this time in your schedule in the event a class is canceled for any reason. The time slot allows for a faculty member to schedule a make-up session to hold class to make up the time lost. Though you will not have class every week during those times, please protect them in your weekly schedule.
- Class of 2025 Facebook page – this group has been created for incoming 1Ls. Please consider joining if you’re interested in connecting with your future classmates. You can share whatever information you’re comfortable sharing about yourself, find potential roommates/carpool buddies, ask local students for restaurant/shopping suggestions, or share whatever else is on your mind! At this time, this group is only for incoming 1Ls; once the academic year begins, 2L and 3L students may join to share information about student organization/law school events, etc. You can find the Facebook page at
- Class of 2025 webpage – if you haven’t found it already, please check out the Class of 2025 webpage we’ve created: https://law.und.edu/future-students/class-2025.html. You’ll find lots of helpful information on housing, dining, parking services, and the local community (and these weekly emails will eventually be archived there as well).
Let us know if you have any questions.
Take care,
Brad
