Hello Class of ’23,

Before I present the topics for this week’s email, I want to express 2 thoughts: (1) I apologize for another email from me this week and don’t have plans of sending more so forgive me for filling your inboxes and (2) with everything that is happening in each of our lives right now, please know that I truly want to support all of you. If I’m not addressing a topic or concern, please let me know.

The book list for the Fall 2020 courses is attached. Please note there is a book that needs to be read prior to orientation. The rest of the books just need to be purchased/received prior to the start of classes. If you choose to order from the UND Bookstore, their webpage link is HERE. At this time, the books are not available but you can request an email to be sent to you when made available.

UND Law has established new technology requirements necessary for all law students. We are sharing this information to allow time to purchase or acquire the technology needed prior to the start of the Fall term. The new technology requirements are HERE[BROKEN LINK]. This technology will allow for us:

- to hold online class sessions if those are planned by the instructor for the course or on weather closure days (to reduce the number of make-up classes),

- to endure a stable final exam experience, with reduced risk of tech issues, and

- to be prepared to pivot to remote instruction if the need arises (as it did in Spring 2020).
