Hello Class of 2023,
I hope this email finds you healthy & well. This week I want to share information about the 1L classes and claiming your UND account.
Just a reminder, Class of 2023 students can view all information shared in emails HERE. The last 2 emails sent are linked on this page if you did not receive them or need to access that information again.
- First year law classes are required of all students. A list of the classes, along with their descriptions, by semester have been attached in a pdf. Additional attachments of DRAFT course and final exam schedules for the 2020-2021 academic year are included. Please note that these schedules could change with no notice. They are included now to give you an idea of what a ‘typical’ day will be like for your first year. A finalized schedule will be shared as we get closer to the start of the academic term. All 1L classes are highlighted in yellow. With the exception of Lawyering Skills 1 & 2, all classes have one section so all incoming first year students will be in class together. Lawyering Skills 1 & 2 have sections and students will be assigned to a section number – (you will know your section number as we get closer to the fall term start).
- Claiming your UND account is an important step that can be done early to ensure you are able to register for classes and start using your UND email address. If you have been a student of the North Dakota University System, your Student ID/EMPLID number will be the same. Once you have claimed your account, you will not have to go through the process again. Make sure you keep your username (known as your NDUS.identifer, which is typically firstname.lastname) and your password in a safe, secure place. To claim your UND account, please follow these steps:
- If you don’t know your Student ID/EMPLID, go here. Click on “Guest Page”. Click on “Help Center”. Click on “Find my EMPLID”. You will enter your Social Security Number/National ID, First Name, Last Name, and Date of Birth. If you can’t access your EMPLID, please contact me and I can provide you with your ID number.
- Go to Claim Your Account – watch the video from Chancellor Mark Hagerott and then claim your account.
If you have questions, please contact the NDUS Help Desk at 1.866.457.6387 or go to helpdesk.ndus.edu
Once you have claimed your account, you can set up your UND email account here. Information from the university will be sent to this email address; however, all School of Law correspondence will be sent to this email address until the week of Orientation. If you would like us to update your email address anytime, please contact us at the Office of Student Life to do so.
If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to us!
Kind regards,
Aleisha
