Class of 2023 - week 9
Hello Class of 2023!
It’s a gorgeous day in North Dakota and I hope all of you are enjoying some wonderful weather and are continuing to be safe and healthy!!
For anyone who needs the link to the UND School of Law Class of 2023 page, it is HERE. All prior communication that has been sent out to incoming Fall 2020 students will be posted here.
Registration for Fall 2020 will open on Monday, June 1st for all incoming 1L students. I will be sending an email Monday morning that will include instructions for navigating through Campus Connection to register for courses, the draft schedule for the fall term, and a list of the courses with course information you will use to register.
A reminder that you must have claimed your student account for registration. If you have not done that yet, you can complete that step HERE. If the process seems confusing and you’d like additional support, I have created a (very informal) video of me explaining the beginning stages of that process which I’ve included HERE.
Similar to one of my prior emails, we wanted to share some articles highlighting UND School of Law alumni and individuals you may be networking with in your future legal journey while at UND School of Law. The first story (HERE) is about North Dakota’s Justice VandeWalle, who was the longest-serving Chief Justice of any state Supreme Court in the nation and alumnus of UND Law Class of 1958. He recently stepped down as Chief Justice in December, but continues to serve on the Court. As UND Law students, you will get the opportunity to connect with the ND Supreme Court during their yearly visit to the law school! Additionally, I’m attaching a link to the SBAND’s new Gavel magazine (HERE) which includes some fantastic articles, some mentioning UND Law.
