• Doors to the auditorium will open at 9:00 a.m.
• There are no limits to the number of guests graduates can invite to the ceremony.
• Tickets are not required.
• The length of the ceremony is approximately 60 minutes.
• Live captioning will be provided throughout the ceremony.
• The ceremony will be live-streamed. Links will be available the week of commencement.
• A recording will be available approximately one week after the ceremony here.
• The University Bookstore will be on-site for purchases at the event.

• There are no limits to the number of guests graduates can invite to the ceremony.
• Tickets are not required.
• The length of the ceremony is approximately 90 minutes.
• Live captioning will be provided throughout the ceremony.
• The ceremony will be live-streamed. Links will be available the week of commencement.
• The University Bookstore will be on-site for purchases at the event.

Winter

UND Professional & Graduate Degrees Winter Commencement Ceremony
Friday, December 18, 2026

• Doors to the auditorium will open at 8:00 a.m.
• There are no limits to the number of guests graduates can invite to the ceremony.
• Tickets are not required.
• The length of the ceremony is approximately 60 minutes.
• Live captioning will be provided throughout the ceremony.
• The ceremony will be live-streamed. Links will be available the week of commencement.
• The University Bookstore will be on-site for purchases at the event. 

Parking

• Complimentary Parking will be available in the Chester Fritz Performing Arts Center parking lot.
• Handicapped parking areas are designated for events, simply show your handicapped parking permit to the parking staff and they will direct you to the proper location.

Commencement Brunch

UND School of Law cordially invites each law graduate and their guests to a brunch immediately following the Spring and Winter Commencement ceremonies. The complimentary all-you-can-eat buffet brunch is open to all graduates, their families and friends, faculty, staff, student marshals, and all other guests.

Spring

Immediately following the ceremony, the UND School of Law invites the graduating class along with their family and friends to a complimentary, all you can eat, buffet, brunch. 

• The brunch will be available until 1 p.m. and is open to ALL graduates, their family and friends, faculty, staff, student marshals, and all other guests of the law commencement. 
• Tickets are not required and there is no limit to the number of guests you may bring. 
• Parking will be available in the UND parking ramp for all guests of the brunch free of charge. Signs will be displayed to direct guests. 
• We ask that each graduate give the law school an estimated number of guests in the Graduation Questionnaire for catering purposes.

Accessible Seating

Accessible seating (wheelchair accessible, aisle transfer seats, etc.) are available to accommodate guests with disabilities. Upon arrival to the commencement ceremony, guests should check in with a staff member for assistance to the designated handicap accessible area. Wheelchairs are available for transport only. Seating is first come, first served and we advise arriving at least 30 minutes early to secure a seat.
